Natomas Levee Improvement Program

Wood Rodgers was awarded a contract to design levee improvements necessary to bring the Natomas Cross Canal South Levee, Pleasant Grove Creek Canal West Levee, and Natomas East Main Drainage Canal West Levee (a total of 21 miles) into compliance with current DWR 200-year flood protection and FEMA 100-year levee certification standards. Wood Rodgers prepared construction plans and specifications for $40 million in levee improvements to Phases 1, 1B, and 2 for the Natomas Cross Canal South Levee. Wood Rodgers also prepared Alternatives Analysis reports for Phases 1 and 2, working in close consultation with the USACE, DWR, and CVFPB throughout all phases.
