and Shoreline Levee Design
Alameda County
Wood Rodgers is providing certification of four riverine levees totaling 22 miles and design of two new shoreline levees totaling 6 miles for the Alameda County Flood Control & Water Conservation District. Extensive coordination with FEMA was required for these efforts as well as close coordination with the US Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) Geotechnical and Environmental Permitting Groups. Wood Rodgers also submitted three successful DWR FloodSAFE California Local Levee Evaluation (LOLE) grant applications on behalf of the District.
