As a firm, Wood Rodgers is well-versed in sustainable design. On recent projects, we have designed “green” features to capture and remove polluted storm water runoff, provide control erosion and reduce sedimentation, and improve air quality — meeting or exceeding the United States Environmental Protection Act’s standards in these area. We have planned many transit-oriented and pedestrian-friendly communities that provide for human scale, civic identity, and ecological sustainability. We routinely implement the principles of New Urbanism and Low Impact Development (LID) into our work and have numerous projects underway that are planned and designed to obtain LEED certification by the United States Green Building Council. The LEED Accredited Professionals on our staff have extensive experience and take great pride in integrating green planning, design and building principles into projects, ensuring they are environmentally sensitive and sustainable for future generations.
