Municipal Water Supply Infrastructure

Our water supply infrastructure designs focus on ease of operations and maintenance while providing components that meet specific project objectives. The cost, complexity, and challenges that accompany each project are uniquely defined with development of a piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) to ensure incorporation of all controls and equipment. That development relies on meeting with operations and maintenance staff early in the project to understand their needs and to accommodate specific requirements. We solicit input on preference of equipment related to performance, standardization, and the responsiveness of manufacturers for maintenance, availability of spare parts, and reliability of equipment. Wood Rodgers continually strives to increase the quality of our product. Therefore, we provide a quality assurance/quality control review, constructability analysis, and startup assistance to our clients for facility design. It is our goal to provide designs that will be efficient and operator friendly.

Our primary objective is to develop water that does not require treatment; however when treatment is required Wood Rodgers staff have experience with arsenic, iron, and manganese treatment removal systems. Wood Rodgers teams with chemical engineers that are industry leaders for other constituents of concern, such as hexavalent chrome. For distribution systems Wood Rodgers provides water system modeling and has designed hundreds of miles of water pipelines and dozens of water tanks.
