Wood Rodgers was responsible for planning and design efforts of four roadway area EIP projects (US50, SR431, SR28, and SR207) within Nevada Department of Transportation’s (NDOT) right of way located in the Nevada side of the Lake Tahoe Basin. The project includes hydrologic analysis for most of the eastern Tahoe Basin, hydraulic analysis of all streams crossing NDOT right-of-way, sediment yield analysis, Pollutant Load Reduction (PLRM) analysis, impact analysis, revegetation evaluations and environmental studies and permitting. Project features include porous pavement, stormwater filtration systems, pilot treatment study for proprietary treatment systems, slope stabilization, maintenance decant facilities, and construction support. The decant disposal project included innovative treatment and evaporation facilities and was selected for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency’s Best-in-the-Basin Award for 2010.
