The Arboretum is a 1,350-acre mixed-use master planned community. The proposed development affects approximately 120 acres of on-site wetlands including vernal pools, swales and wildlife habitat. Wood Rodgers utilized GIS to perform over 10 different alternative wetland impact analysis scenarios. These alternatives were done to design an optimal land plan that will minimize the impacts on wetland habitat while maximizing developable land. The chosen alternative dedicates 450 acres to wetland preserve.
