Wood Rodgers designed and implemented a series of well tests and conducted exploratory drilling with multiple completion monitoring wells to identify the sources of elevated manganese concentration. We subsequently designed two production wells to target the aquifers with the best water quality. Both wells are producing sand-free water, meeting all of the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) drinking water requirements.
Wood Rodgers then proceeded with pump station design for two wells. Pump station design included provisions for verticals turbine pumps, flow meters, check valves, surge control, future chemical addition, instrumentation and monitoring, pressure set points for operations, all housed in a concrete masonry unit block building.
