In response to a growing middle class and demand for housing in the Moscow region, the Eurasia Group sought to develop 2,700 hectares (approximately 6,672 acres) of land south of the city. Wood Rodgers designed Konstantinovo’s neighborhoods, commercial district, civic and public spaces to function as a complete town. Referencing local architectural and landscape precedents, monumentation, streetscapes, parks and open spaces were also designed to suit rapidly modernizing lifestyles.
