On behalf of the Duckwater Shoshone Tribe, Wood Rodgers was contracted to conduct all required field investigations including geotechnical exploration and testing services, threatened and endangered species, vegetation, wildlife, waters of the United States including wetlands, archaeological resources inventory, hydrology and hydraulics, and initial through construction design for approximately 0.7 mile of roadway on the Duckwater Shoshone Indian Reservation in Nye County, Nevada. Deliverables included a geotechnical report which presented site preparation and grading requirements as well as design parameters for the structural pavement section, archaeological inventory report, wetlands delineation report, vegetation and wildlife Biological Evaluations, complete civil design, and the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimate. In addition, a project level Environmental Assessment prepared in accordance with BIA NEPA Handbook 59IAM is in the preparation process to be submitted to the Tribe for review by the BIA.
