Wood Rodgers prepared the Project Report and PS&E for the construction of a new partial-cloverleaf interchange to replace an existing signalized intersection on a four-lane expressway section of State Route 99/70. The geometric design accommodates the conversion of SR 99 to a six-lane freeway and substantial widening of Elverta Road. Our Group strategically managed key issues associated with this project including traffic forecasting, relocation of major irrigation/drainage channels on both sides of the highway, right of way acquisition, relocation of electric transmission and distribution lines, relocation of major fiber optic telephone lines and mitigation of potential impacts to giant garter snake, a federal threatened species.
