This project involved complete structural design, civil design, and geotechnical update and drainage design for relocating the existing interchange approximately 2,000 feet east along Interstate 80 in Nevada. The proposed interchange was developed as a modified diamond interchange using the existing ½ interchange on the South and designing the northern ½ of the diamond interchange along with a connecting bridge on the north. This interchange was designed for a private developer, but reviewed and approved by the Nevada Department of Transportation as well as the Federal Highway Administration due to its location on the interstate.
