The project required a new six-lane roadway, a new bridge spanning the canal, retaining walls, extension and integration of the citywide bicycle/pedestrian trail, and new signalized intersections at Kilgore Road and Sunrise Boulevard. Structural services provided by Wood Rodgers for the project included the preparation of complete structural PS&E for the six-lane pre-stressed concrete bridge and the numerous retaining walls that were required due to existing site constraints. Coordination efforts between the various disciplines within Wood Rodgers ensured that the project would be delivered in an efficient and timely manner.
