The project included landscape medians and a landscape corridor adjacent the residential community and connections to the bike trail adjacent to the Folsom South Canal. One of the main project goals was to create a gateway to the City by aesthetically enhancing the proposed bridge needed to span the Folsom South Canal near the new intersection. The planting and irrigation design were in accordance with California’s water conservation requirements (AB 1881). The corridor is designed with a rock swale to capture and filter storm water run-off prior to entering the storm drain system.
