South Lake Tahoe, California

Tahoe Regional Planning Agency’s Best-in-the-Basin Award for 2010
Location: Lake Tahoe
This project is part of an ongoing effort to retrofit existing public rights-of-way within the Tahoe Basin with Best Management Practice (BMP) improvements to reduce sediment and nutrient loading to Lake Tahoe. The City proposes to construct erosion control and water quality improvement facilities within the City’s rights-of-way to reduce erosion and improve the water quality of the runoff from the Al Tahoe neighborhood, specifically flowing to and discharging from the Pasadena storm drain, in order to progress toward compliance with the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency’s (TRPA) discharge standards and the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Stormwater Permit.

Wood Rodgers provided construction management and administration services during construction. In addition, construction testing and inspection and materials testing services were provided.

Awards/Recognition: Submitted for TRPA Best-in-Basin Awards Fall 2010.
