Wood Rodgers facilitated US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) mitigation requirements for the, Carson City Open Space Program and obtained an In-Lieu-Fee mitigation contribution in the amount of $130,000. In addition, the City received 35 acres of existing wetland/upland property in the northeast portion of the City contiguous with the 30+ acres of wetland all ready owned that they wish to preserve and enhance. Wood Rodgers was contracted to complete an Opportunities and Constraints Analysis, Develop a Conceptual Plan, base map development and analyze and document the feasibility to implement the opportunities identified including seeking in-kind servcies.

Wood Rodgers has completed a Conceptual Layout for the site and aerial topography and boundary surveys to develop a site base map to facilitate hydrologic design and document the feasibility to implement the Conceptual Layout for the site. The project objective is to provide dispersed Open Space opportunities while preserving the natural elements of the property.
