Round Mountain Mine Riparian Assessment
Location: Big Smokey Valley, Nevada
Wood Rodgers conducted a Riparian Assessment for Kinross Gold USA utilizing United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) accepted protocol. The purpose of conducting a Riparian Assessment was two-fold: to determine where riparian habitat is supported and where it is not supported within the 10-foot drawdown Isopleth boundary or located in very close proximity to this boundary; and to determine the current condition of supported riparian areas also within this boundary. To the extent possible, the goal was to provide a quantitative baseline describing existing riparian habitat.
