Wood Rodgers completed baseline field inventories and impacts assessment to provide a basis for avoiding impacts to sensitive resources during the design and construction of the geomorphic restoration of Rosewood Creek between State Route 431 and State Route 28. Baseline assessment of US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) wetlands, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency stream environment zone, plant communities, plant and wildlife threatened and endangered species surveys, and cultural resources inventories were completed. Wood Rodgers was also responsible for completing a field geotechnical investigation, hydraulic analysis to assist with design development, revegetation design, plans and specifications in accordance with Washoe County requirements, private land owner liaison and revegetation observation during construction. The first phase of the restoration project has been constructed and Wood Rodgers is under contract for the second phase.
