Pioneer Meadows is a 640-acre project located in Sparks, Nevada and includes 2,588 dwelling units, 47-acres of commercial/office industrial uses, 109-acres of Business Park and 171-acres of public facilities including schools, parks and open space. Our engineering, survey and mapping services were utilized for this complex project. Engineering services included technical support during the entitlement process and the preparation of sewer master plans for this mixed-use master planned community. The project was a 100% fill site as the area was previously laser-leveled farm land. An onsite lake was utilized to minimize offsite import of material, generating approximately 1-million-cubic-yards, while creating an amenity for residents of the community in addition to storm water detention. Major infrastructure for this project included the lake, water transmission mains, major onsite drainage infrastructure and trunk sewer mains, and three plus miles of arterial and collector streets.
