Wood Rodgers was selected for this project which was considered by the University of California, Davis to be the unifying piece in implementing the University’s Health Science District Master Landscape and Circulation Plan. In addition to achieving that goal, the project widened one of the main campus entry points, Hutchison Drive, from a narrow two-lane road to a four-lane arterial standard with bike lanes and turn pockets. A new traffic signal was installed at the main entrance into the District. The project included installing a 650 stall parking lot, new water and sewer improvements, and incorporating low impact development (LID) drainage features.
