Wood Rodgers is working with the Gonzalez Unified School District on the development of a 15-acre joint-use elementary school and park site. Similar to most schools, the site includes multiple ball fields, basketball courts, playgrounds, and general landscape areas. What sets this school apart is the student educational area between all the buildings. This area houses an amphitheater, multiple outdoor classrooms, a science garden, and a rain garden. The rain garden will be watered from what is collected from the roofs of the adjacent buildings. This educational area will bring students and the natural environment together.
